A Little Bit About Me

My name is Emily and I am a wife to a loving and supportive husband and a mother to two amazing kids who keep us very busy.  I have always looked at old objects and thought how I could repurpose it into something else always looking to reduce, reuse and upcycle when I can.

I have a visual arts degree and have always found peace while painting, drawing, and creating.  I discovered my love for silverware and started this business almost by accident.  I started creating them for myself and after posting a few pictures online I was convinced by friends that I should sell them.  Not sure that it would make any money, I agreed, just to see.  And low and behold it took off and I have loved every minute of it.  So much so that we have decided to for me to take a step away from my teaching job (Secondary Art Teacher) and to focus on this business venture full time.  Although our bank account is a little smaller our hearts are so full of love, patience and a better balance.  I love going into my beautiful attic studio that my husband made for me and working away for hours.  I love it so much it doesn't even feel like work.  The days and weeks are flying by and we have been so thankful for this choice we made.

I love the idea of taking things that would have been locked away, never being used, collecting dust, or destined for the landfill and repurposing them into something that is used daily.  I often get custom orders of family silverware where every member of the family will get a piece of Grandma's silverware to keep with them every day.

I love inspecting a pattern and deciding what it will be made into.  I love working with customers and making them exactly what they are looking for out of their own family silverware or my own.

I make jewelry such as bracelets, earrings, spoon rings, hand cut pendants and more.  As well has custom and personalized bookmarks, keychains, and charcuterie board cheese markers, butter spreaders and Caesar Drink Skewers, holiday ornaments and more.

Every single part of my business has been made by me, my logo, website, packaging, and more.  I hand cut, polish, shape, stamp, package and form each and every piece that is offered by me, in my own studio in my home in Muskoka, Ontario.
